Lesson #11: "I Seek Not Mine Own Will, but the Will of the Father": June 16th, 2013

Sister Brown did a great job with her first lesson as our newest Relief Society teacher. She led a wonderful discussion on sacrificing our own desires to do what Heavenly Father wants us to do. We can look at the life of our Savior for a perfect example of this.

Lesson #10: "Come Into the Temples": June 9th, 2013

Sister McAllister gave a fantastic lesson on temples, and the importance of temple worthiness and attendance. Her lesson was fabulously prepared and Brother McAllister even lead us in a pioneer musical number. It was a truly captivating lesson, thank you Sis. McAllister!

Presidency Instruction: June 2nd, 2013

I missed this week's lesson, but Sister Mattson was so kind as to send me the topic of her lesson.
The lesson was "Wide Awake to Our Duties" by Sister Stephens, 1st counselor in the General Relief Society Presidency. It is in the Nov. 2012 issue of the Ensign, page 115.
It's always a pleasure to be taught by Sister Mattson, so I'm sad I missed this lesson. Can anyone fill me in on the highlights?

TFOT - "We Are Daughters of Our Heavenly Father" by Elaine S. Dalton: May 26th, 2013

Sister Howard started this lesson off appropriately with the Young Women's theme. This lesson helped me to understand who I am and that I matter, as do those around me. What did you take from this lesson?

Lesson #9: Sacred Family Relationships: May 19th, 2013

Sister Witherspoon led an engaging discussion on the importance of family relationships and how we can strengthen them. We learned of the importance of keeping an eternal perspective when it comes to the little things that can put a strain on family relationships.

Lesson #8: "Search Me, O God, and Know My Heart": May 12th, 2013

Sister Jackson taught a short but sweet lesson on building character and overcoming weaknesses. Then, since it was Mother's Day, we took some time to share our gratitude towards the mothers in our lives.

Presidency Instruction: May 5th, 2013

Sister Adams taught a thoughtful lesson on the importance of Temple attendance and worthiness. It helped me resolve to attend the temple more frequently. How has this lesson changed aspects of your life for the better?

TFOT - "By Faith, All Things Are Fulfilled" by Marcus B. Nash: April 28th, 2013

Sister Howard gave a wonderful lesson on Faith, based on the talk by Elder Marcus B. Nash from last October's General Conference addresses. You can read the talk here. (Click the link)

Lesson #7: Faithfulness in Times of Trial: "From the Shadows into the Glorious Sunshine": April 21st, 2013

This was Sister Weber's last lesson and we will surely miss having her as a Relief Society teacher. As always, she gave a great lesson on enduring trials with Faith. What stuck out in your mind?

Lesson #6: Becoming Perfect before the Lord: "AT Little Better Day by Day": April 14th, 2013

Sister Adams taught a great lesson about the commandment to be Perfect, and how we can attain "perfection" in this life. If our hearts are in perfect oneness with the will of the Lord, then we are certainly on the right track!
This lesson reminded me a lot of Drops of Awesome, how about you?

Joint Priesthood & Relief Society Discussion: March 31st, 2013

The Bishop led a great discussion after watching a couple of the new Leadership Training videos on Strengthening the Family and the Church Through the Priesthood. (Click the link to view the videos)

The videos are really good, I encourage everyone to watch them!

I missed the end of the discussion, does anyone care to fill me in?

Also, I hear the Primary's Easter program was pretty special! Any Primary sisters care to share more about that?

TFOT - "The Atonement" by Boyd K. Packer: March 24th, 2013

Sister Howard gave a great lesson on this amazing talk. I loved the story of the sister who tried to do everything on her own instead of letting the Atonement work in her life. How often do we feel like we must endure the struggles of life alone? You can read the talk here. (Click the link)

What did you take home from this lesson?

Lesson #5 - The Grand Destiny of the Faithful: March 17th, 2013

I missed this lesson, but I'm sure it was a good one! Does anyone want to fill me in on what I missed?
